Compress a PDF to under 500 KB

For resumes, claims and multi-page documents. Choose your PDF and we get it under 500 KB with the text kept sharp.

or drop a PDF here

Stays on your phone or computer. Only you see it.

Where the 500 KB limit shows up

Job portals, insurance claim forms, rental applications and many online services limit uploads to 500 KB per file. That is enough for most documents once the oversized photos inside are shrunk.

Your resume stays searchable

At 500 KB we can almost always keep the real text, so recruiters' systems can still read and search your CV. Only the pictures inside get lighter.

Several documents in one file?

Use Merge PDF to join them first, then compress the result here, so the whole bundle fits the limit.

Questions

Will the text in my resume still be selectable?

Usually yes. At 500 KB we only shrink pictures. Only very large scanned files may need to be saved as images to fit, and we tell you if that happened.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your PDF is opened and changed inside your own browser, on your own device. Your file is never sent to a server. You can check: turn on airplane mode after the page loads, and everything still works.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark. Because your device does the work, it costs us almost nothing to run.
