Where 20 KB limits come up

Signature uploads on exam and job forms are often limited to 10 to 20 KB, and some forms ask for photos that small too. A signature photographed on a phone is usually over 1 MB.

Getting a clean signature

Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper, photograph it in good light from straight above, and choose Exact pixels if your form gives a size (140 × 60 is common for signatures). Crop to fill keeps it tight around the ink.

If there is a minimum too

Forms that say "10 to 20 KB" also reject files that are too small. Tick "My form also has a smallest size" and type 10.

How it works

  1. 1Choose your photo or signature
  2. 2We aim for under 20 KB (add pixels if the form asks)

Questions

Will a 20 KB photo look blurry?

Signatures look perfectly sharp at 20 KB. Photos of faces are fine at the small pixel sizes forms ask for, like 200 × 230.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your PDF is opened and changed inside your own browser, on your own device. Your file is never sent to a server. You can check: turn on airplane mode after the page loads, and everything still works.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark. Because your device does the work, it costs us almost nothing to run.
